Our Commitment
CompTeamHub is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone who uses our platform — studio owners, teachers, parents, and dancers alike — and we apply the relevant accessibility standards to achieve this.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including:
- Visual impairments (low vision, color blindness, blindness)
- Motor disabilities (limited fine motor control, tremors)
- Auditory disabilities (hearing loss, deafness)
- Cognitive disabilities (dyslexia, attention difficulties)
- Seizure and vestibular disorders (motion sensitivity)
What We're Doing
CompTeamHub takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML — We use proper heading structures, landmarks, and ARIA attributes so assistive technologies can navigate the content effectively.
- Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.
- Color contrast — We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and backgrounds to meet WCAG AA requirements.
- Text alternatives — Images and icons include descriptive alternative text for screen reader users.
- User preferences — We provide built-in accessibility settings including adjustable text size, high contrast mode, reduced motion, dyslexia-friendly font options, and enhanced focus indicators.
- Responsive design — Our platform works across devices and screen sizes, supporting zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function.
Built-In Accessibility Features
Logged-in users can customize their experience through our accessibility settings, available in their Profile page:
- Text Size — Choose between default, large, or extra-large text
- High Contrast — Increase contrast for better readability
- Reduced Motion — Minimize animations for users with vestibular disorders or motion sensitivity
- Dyslexia-Friendly Font — Switch to a typeface designed for easier reading
- Focus Highlighting — Show prominent visual outlines when navigating with a keyboard
These preferences are saved locally in your browser and apply automatically on future visits.
